My project was delayed for two weeks to meet Griffin's schedule. We had worked through all the details of the materials, schedule of work, insurance, etc. - then he emailed saying that will not be following through with the work but that "they are a professional construction company"

As with any project there were a few unexpected changes (by us) to the plans, and Griffin accommodated each one without any delay or complaint. Every email and phone call was answered promptly and, for the first time we can remember, there were no last minute “surprises” or “charges” which many times come with a project! When it came time for our “punch list” at the end of the project we only had 2 very minor items, both of which were remedied within a day.
We have used Griffin Construction for several jobs, each being completed beyond our expectations. The first job was a wrap around deck with roof. This was done in a timely fashion, with daily cleanup of the yard/work area. This living space is exactly what we wanted, finding most of our spring/summer/fall evenings on the deck. We then needed some replacement windows. After reviewing options that Griffin presented with different styles and costs through several manufacturers, we went forward with the job, which was completed within a few days after the windows arrived. Again, we were very pleased with the work. We have other projects in mind for our home, and will continue to use Griffin as we are confident his work will continue to be first-rate.
When it came time for us to put a 1,500 +/- square foot addition onto our existing home we considered more than a few builders. Griffin immediately stood out from the rest due to his honesty, relaxed attitude, patience, and wealth of design ideas.
We have already highly recommended Griffin Construction to a few people and will be using them again in the future for a few other projects we are considering!
Throughout the project Griffin Construction was awesome! No matter what the weather (remember it was horrible this Winter) they were there on time every day and worked the entire day and were nothing but professional at all times. Griffin was there almost everyday and when he wasn’t he would email us to let us know what was going to be accomplished that day and he would leave us in the very capable hands of Rich.
Griffin Dussault is not a man of his word. After two weeks of communications and planing to shingle my roof he left me at the alter when he changed his mind and emailed me on Sat that he was not going to be there Monday - and then would not accept my phone calls.
Regrettably,
Griffin did some good work for me . . .I thought. Later the plumbing began to leak into my bedroom and down into the cellar. My waterlogged ceiling had to come down. The cost of repairs was almost $1,000. I called Griffin a number of times. My calls were not returned. I saw him working at a site and talked to him. He assured me that he would rectify the situation. Nope. Nada. Zilch!
I would use Griffin Construction, again in a heartbeat.
Griffin's conduct before he receiving my retainer and the beginning of work raises the question of what the quality of his work would have been after the 50% retainer had been paid and work had begun. Perhaps I am better off with a delay than with the longer term expense of low quality work.
Working with Griffin Construction was an absolute dream. My needs were met, I was able to get what I needed and felt like my needs were being addressed. I had a large project and needed to make sure it was all done to my specs.
Whenever I need work done in VT. I am calling them.
